I think we're up to the third week of our art challenge - missed a few weeks when Ben was back :p
This week was Stencil, not the most glamorous but this challenge had a practical element!
I love moths so I went the moth route, I was constantly thinking about creating a stencil that would hold up in it's stencil application but then I saw Ben's stencil and realised maybe I should been a tad more creative :p
Our next week's challenge is a fun/cute one, oddly enough I picked the stencil's theme and next week's theme, Kookaburra, Ben picked :)
Hey if you want to play along feel free to do so!
both stencils are neat! can't wait to see the kookaburra challenge! totally sang the kookaburra lives in the old gum tree song as i read that this was going to be your next challenge :)
ReplyDeletelol, I think you have successfully transferred it to my head now :)
Deletelove em!

Love that you are frequently inspired by nature for your art :) It's the first time I've heard about the Kookaburra, but the name sounds interesting, hahaha I looked it up and it's a very pretty bird, hooked for the next one!
ReplyDeleteOh true, I didn't even realise the nature connection :) Kookaburras are awesome because they have a big head and are related to the Kingfisher who funnily enough I also like for their big heads :P he he he
DeleteProbably the best thing about Kookaburras though is that there bird call sounds like they are laughing, there was a bunch outside in the tree yesterday and they were so noisy and funny I had to go have a peak!
what a fun challenge! I can't wait to see what you make next week.
ReplyDeleteI've making progress! :)
DeleteBoth look great, but I do like the intricacy of Ben's one
ReplyDeletePS: Looking forward to the Kookaburra challenge!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Trishie! Yeah I felt I cheated a bit when I saw how intricate Ben's was, I was using the stencil as an excuse to slack off I think but after seeing Ben's stencil (we spray painted under the house) intricate stencils can definitely hold up! lol
ReplyDeletethey look great. what are you going to do with them??
ReplyDeletewell so far we've only spray painted under the house but there are always grander more exciting plans in the works :P
