Day 12 we did a super fun photo shoot which I have to be a little hush hush for now. I can say it did involve a trip to Victoria Queen Markets and a makeup artist called Anna who taught Emaya and I how to make coffee :) I also got to try some amazing bagels from 5 and Dime - which has since inspired me to try bagel making for myself with some pretty okay results :)
That evening and actually still part of our shoot we ate at Trippy Taco where I got a pretty killer burrito :)
The next day, Saturday, Emaya had to work so I went a wandering.
It was fun to see the aftermath of a Friday night. I still laugh thinking about that busted piñata with the glitter and candies scattered all over the sidewalk - so many questions
Remember when I said I only ate one thing twice - due to having more things to eat than meals to eat them in, well that wrap above was my favourite thing ever and totes deserved a second round of eating!!
I'm one of those peeps who still appreciates the smell of kfc, so when I bit into this faux chicken wrap and it tasted exactly like a sweet chilli kfc wrap I almost died! Vegie bar do their veggies well, well I laugh that I picked the least veggie thing on the menu :p
Saturday night was awesome because we had our double denim party!! This party had been brewing over several months. It all started with Emaya and her friend with their photo series on Instagram - same clothes, different person. One day they wore double denim and my brain saw the potential to turn it into a mad photo project. A few back and forth's with Emaya and she was sure Melbourne peeps would be down for this idea and we could turn it into a party/photo shoot - so that's what we did. I will say, having to pack for a photo shoot, meant 90% of my luggage was photo equipment and denim but at the end of the day I think it was worth it.
The shoot was similar to my prom party set up (I even reused some of the backdrop :P) + sharpened some lessons I learned last time. I'm so happy with how it came together and how much people got on board with the idea too! We even had a clothes rack with some extra denims (we scored thrifting) in case peeps didn't come with denim or wanted to switch it up - which they did :)
