Kondalilla Falls

Before Ben left for his recent work hitch we visited Kondalilla falls, up near Maleny. It's beautiful which means it's a bit of a hot spot on the coast. I actually enjoyed all the people this day, it was festive and friendly and the water was delightfully crisp!

The boys bought their slack line and it was nice to see other people joining in :) There were also some brave girls jumping from scary heights. Lots of boys do the jump but it's more rare to see girls so when I do, I get excited :) Woot - girl power!

I'm super scared of heights myself, I once jumped from a different spot, it took me twenty minutes just standing in the same spot before I committed. Afterwards my friend said "wasn't that worth it?" I answered with a huge no :p not only did it hurt on landing, I have a fear of water and the current was strong and I had to swim my little heart out (also not a good swimmer) to make it back to the bank before I got swept down the river. I'll leave the jumping to those braver girls!

The slackline which saw many people fail miserably on :P

Oh gosh, these photos don't do the height justice but she is one brave girl!

On our way back home we stopped to play with some cows :)

As soon as they saw us, they all came running down the hill, it was really sweet. Ben jumped the fence and made friends with them with enticing grass from the greener side :P

  2. oh, this looks amazing. I'd love to jump from one of those cliffs. not sure I'd do it tho. I'm a good swimmer and not afraid of heights. that said, I still think it takes extra guts to do that. like you, I think it's great to see women do it :)

  7. Summer pics!! How nice to be right there enjoying the sun and water with your pics although it is freezing out here :) I would be braver with the cows than the jumping, hahaha. Did you try the slack line?

  8. I'm horrible at the slackline at most I can do three steps when it's strung up on land, so I politely declined :P he he he. The cow is definitely more friendly to me than heights!
