Snail Mail /1

Ben came into my room (when he was still here) and said I have good news and bads news which do you want first? I also ask for the bad news first, I'm one of those people, I also used to always eat my meat first off my plate leaving my favourites to savour at the end - gravy and noodles :) Anyway, the bad news wasn't so bad he forgot to post some mail but the good news was definitely good as he handed me this super amazingly decorated letter, I of course had to take a quick photo of it before opening it :p

when I finally (and carefully!) peeled back the colourful washi tape I was grinning from ear to ear looking at all the amazing goodies inside.

The letter was from Emily who runs a super sweet blog called Thimble where she posts her amazing op shop finds, her cute letters and sweet diys!

Inside my letter was a hello kitty keychain, oh my gosh my key chain collection is growing out of control (must share with you guys!), kawaii stickers and post its, cute cards and possibly the greatest thing of all...
A vintage Haw Par Villa postcard she found at the op shop, I still can't believe she found it and I still can't get over how sweet she remembered I visited!! Seriously an amazing find :)

I myself have been the most horrible letter writer with about six letters sitting in my stationery box that I still need to write! (biggest apologies to my beautiful cousin Heather - I definitely let down our letter writing team!)

After getting thimble's letter I realised how awesome it is to get mail, especially one where such thought and love has gone into it. I've already found a couple of cute things to send Emily back but I'm going to need a few more op shop hunts to make sure I'm sending back an awesome letter in return :)
Thanks Ben for the good news and a huge thank-you Emily for the amazing letter!!

  8. I'm the same "bad news first" and "saving best food for last" hahaha, and I am also one of those to prefer to expect very few and then be surprised :) Oh! and absolutely love snail mail! specially when it looks as good as thimble's letter! how many goodies, and how thoughtful the postcard, you are a lucky girl!

  9. Wow this letter-writing business is serious! To think my idea of snail mail is a piece of (written) paper and its envelope :D

    1. It's made me realise I need to step up my game because I too just think about a letter as apiece of paper in an envelope, it's so nice when it's much more than that though!
