House warming presents

I arrived home one day to find an amazing box of goodies from my super thoughtful cousin Heather so today I'm sharing my awesome loot wth you guys - still can't believe she did that!!!

All super kawaii Japanese themed :)

It was packaged up in the sweetest bag and all the goodies inside have already been put to good use including these guys below.

The water bottle holder not only keeps my water bottle cool it stops water going onto my camera when they're all thrown together in my bag (which I have a bad habit of doing). I also used the egg timer the other day. Confession time, I cannot cook eggs! I know there was some hoo-ha when Gwyneth Paltrow released a cook book which taught you how to boil eggs but seriously my timing is always way off - so thank you egg timer for my perfectly hard boiled eggs :) That cute little green frog soap dispenser is happily living in the bathroom too!

I've started having miso every night so these bowls have been perfect I just need to cook more Japanese-esque food so I can use the two bowls at once! Lol

How cute are these lolly tins! The lollies are long gone but the tins now happily live with my knick-knacks

And last but not least the cutest hanger ever!

Thanks a billion Heather you made my day/week!

  1. aw you're very welcome chook <3
I got one of the egg timers for me too - how good are they! Now if I can just learn the secret to peeling them without taking chunks of the outside off I'll be set lol!
Glad you liked it :) xx

    1. The egg timer is sooo good! You think you couldn't stuff up a hard boil egg (probably the easiest) but i'd either leave it for not too long or for too long and then it started going a weird brown colour :P

I remember googling about the shell/egg issue I think it has to do with the age of the eggs? I have a feeling I don't struggle as much when I eat our chickens eggs but I could be telling fibs. Do you get eggs from your folks? or remember if your pet chickens eggs were hard to peel? Mind you we have stages were no one is eating eggs so when we do eat them they may not be the freshest anymore :P

Thanks for my super awesome present and saving me from badly cooked eggs! hurrah!

  4. Sweetest cousin! so many awesome goodies! I would also need the egg timer, because I find it sometimes hard to find the perfect time to make pouché eggs, boiled, and all the different varieties that depend on the time you boil them ;) Oooh that Milky tin is making me so nostalgic, they were my favorite candy in Japan!
