Thrifty Sunday finds /4

Time to share some more thrift store finds with you guys :)

First up these cuties, I tried to find some info on them and I think originally they would of come chained to a mumma deer. I don't know how I feel about the chains (as you can see in the photo they are deliberately moved to the back :p)so I'm happy with just the kidlets.

This find isn't cool and vintage but it is practical - an iPad cover. I couldn't believe my luck to find it was pink (my favourite colour) and I also couldn't believe it was 3 bucks, a satisfying find because this op shop always jacks up their prices!

Next up a sexy mermaid lady

I love how tacky this soap holder is! I was able to find out that it came from a generic cast mould that were popular in pottery classes. Having the engraving on the bottom make it that much more special to me :)

How could you donate that - makes me all the more curious for it's back story.

And lucky last a new tote complete with cute cat drawings :)

Have you guys found anything fun lately whilst thrifting?

  5. Ooh, wow! Great loot! I hardly ever go thrifting… but I did find nice in-store "free library" where I could pick out a second hand book for free and found one I'd been hoping to read for ages(White Oleander by Janet Fitch) , so that was fun too:)

  7. The iPad cover may not be as "cool" looking as your other finds but it was such a steal! As for the soap holder, maybe the person passed away, or a break- up? it is interesting to think about. I do love to see your awesome finds.

    1. I was definitely stoked about the cover, was just using a cheap-o one before but apple really does quality :)
I thought perhaps the person (Gloria) passed away - oooh break up yup! It seems weird to have held onto it since 1988 and then to donate it.

  14. We definitely need more thrift shops here in Barcelona :) I loove the tacky mermaid soap holder! It's weird that they donate it, maybe it ended in non-Gloria-family hands by mistake and they donated it? yay also for cat tote bags :)
