Blog confession - day 9 I took no photos but we did do some more hair dying and I had the most amazing faux-chicken wrap of my life, actually it was the only thing I ate twice in my visit, which is impressive since my list of things I wanted to eat outweighed the days and meals I had available :p
Day 10 we walked into the city, I got new lipstick (photo evidence below) and we ate steamed buns at Wonder Bao
We had coffee at A Little Bird Told Me (6.5/10 without sugar, 8/10 with) and checked out some parks for a secret photo project, which I tell you guys about when I can :)
Isn't that playground amazing, giraffe swings and a dragon slide!
That night we tried going to Smith and Daughters, a famed vegan restaurants in Melbourne but they were booked out so we headed next door to Ahari who were very accomodating and served me up a delicious bowl of soba noodles :)
And finally day 11, which included lots of wandering and exploring + a table that night at Smith and Daughters - huzzah!
Dinner at Smith & Daughters started with some tuna and pea croquettes receiving a 9/10 - no photo, consumed too quickly, followed by that blood red sausage above. I should point out this joint is all about those faux meats and also that I never eaten blood sausage before, so I have no idea how authentic the taste was but I gave it a low 5/10. I have a feeling I may of given the authentic thing a low-ish rating too.
We went to dinner with Emaya's roomie Stu who oddly enough ordered the stew above. I gave it 6/10 it wasn't bad just perhaps a little boring.
Emaya ordered the best main, a colourful Tortilla bowl which I gave an 8/10
And I ordered prawns because I really miss prawns! these were pretty good too, getting a 7.9//10
On the way home we spied a sneaky sticker from Smith & Daughters stuck on a Chinese food window - always fond of a little street activism :)
I wanted to also apologies to anyone who has ever left a blog comment and it never showed up. I think the blogger commenting system is whack, I know when I go to leave comments on other blogs, I always make sure I save what I've written before hitting submit because 9/10 it eats my comment and I have to put it in again - grrrrr. Thank-you for leaving comments, thank-you for trying to leave comments and thank-you for just reading my posts :) :). Also if you have a suggestion to stop this commenting madness, I'm all ears!
Everything looks so dreamy! Plus I can't wait to hear about the secret photo project. :D
