Melbourne Street Art: Part 1

My final Melbourne posts are all about the street art I encountered and there was A LOT so I'm dividing it up into two posts (your internet data can thanks me later!) So without further ado, take it away street art....

Check out round 2 over here!

  1. Montreal is starting to have a pretty good graf scene, but I keep forgetting to take my camera with me. I have a camera on my phone, but it is so mediocre I try not to use it unless I have to.

    1. It definitely takes a bit of time to get into the habit and a big purse. Since getting my iphone (I was a late camera phone bloomer) I find I'm now in the opposite position and often leave my big bulky camera at home but phones can be limiting so I'm thinking I need to do another 360!

    1. It seems almost encouraged in Melbourne :) Which is awesome if there are lots of people doing it for the art and not for the vandalism which luckily is the majority!

  5. Beautiful captures and beautiful work! But I also think that it also takes a special person really stop and appreciate the beauty. Sometimes people just walk past it or don't realize it's there! There must be so many untold stories behind these creations. I wish I can know about them all :)

    1. I love that they put them out into the mercy of the streets too, not knowing if they'll be there tomorrow or not - it's a very interesting way to display art and I'm always appreciative of those that do :)

  6. Wow big graffiti game at Melbourne! And I thought San Francisco was hard to beat...ha! :) The humanoid-owl really catches my attention. Is there a certain neighborhood or is it all around the city?

    1. 98% was in Fitzroy, I did a lot of exploring just in Emaya's hood but this post also has a few photos from the city. The last time I went to Melbourne I did all my graff spotting in the city - there's lot! It was fun to explore fitzroy this time where the graff game is really awesome too!
