Peachy and Gremlin /5

Time for a cat appreciation post.  We went through some scary times with Gremlin.  Some underlining and ongoing issues amped up.  He started marking inside our home, being super anxious, severe urinary issues, and very territorial.  The real alarm bell was when Peachy started to display stress signals (overgrooming!) and we knew we needed to get serious.  After trying lots of non-medication ideas (feliway, zylkene, dog-free house zones) he now takes a daily clomav (half a tablet) and golly gosh it's made a remarkable difference.  All his anxious behaviours have stopped and we have a much happier and calm household :) We did also have to take peachy to the vet on Monday (she was having an upset stomach) but the vet wasn't alarmed and she seems to be getting better *fingers crossed*

Peachy and Gremlin /2

I've been hoarding photos of Gremlin and Peachy (for far too long!) so time to share them on here and not just on my hard drive. I've mentioned before but I've noticed again another jump in the bond between our cats (unfortunately) most likely due to their common enemy with our neighbour's cats.  If you have any tips on how to encourage cats to play nice with other cats, please let me know!!

Despite their oddities I love them both so much and I'm so super grateful to have these little souls in my life :)

Peachy and Gremlin

I've been collecting a few photos of our kitty cats to put together in a blog post - who doesn't love cat photos!?! Okay probably a few people :p I love them though! He he

They definitely still have a brother/sister relationship but in the past few months, I definitely feel they have grown closer together. Jealousy wise, they seem pretty adjusted to living together harmoniously despite their odd rule of only one on the bed at a time although the cold weather has seen them break that - hurrah!  Wild Peachy also brings our the kitten nature in Gremlin which is always fun to see and honestly I think they would be sad without each other. I know I'd be super sad without their cuddly antics in my life!  The other day they were sleeping out in the sun and Gremlin made the bold move of walking over and sleeping right next to Peach, his paw touching her tail.  Peach has always been so open with her emotions but Gremlin holds them close to his chest so I think she has taught him that it's okay to put your heart out there!
