Everyone loves eating yummy stuff, right?
Well today I'm sharing a super easy and yummy biscuit recipe.
On a side note I once had a very confusing conversation about what a biscuit was, apparently Americans call, what we know as scones here in Australia, biscuits!
Anyhoo here are the ingredients you will need!
BISCUIT
150g Soft Butter ( I zipped mine in the microwave for 10 seconds)
3/4 cup caster sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 egg
2 1/2 cups of plain flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
2tsp milk
ICING
1 cup icing sugar
2 tbsp warm milk
food colouring
Here is how you make them
- Blend butter, sugar vanilla and egg until smooth
- Then add flour, baking powder and milk and mix till combined
- Lightly knead mixture until it comes together
- Wrap dough in plastic and refrigerate for 40 minutes
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius
- Roll out dough to half a centimeter thickness
- Use cookie cutter to make biscuits
- Pop in oven for 25 min. or until lightly brown, take out, cool!
- Combine icing sugar and milk until smooth and add food colouring
- Ice, add decorations if so desired and eat!
To me they tasted exactly like the Arnotts hundred and thousands cookies
