Mooloolaba adventures

Gosh can you believe these shots were from two school holidays gone. My little bro was actually up on Sunday to check out the new place and go geocaching. I only took one or two photos this past weekend so it's nice to be able to share these. It's funny to look back on the photos because Ben was still around then, thankfully he's back in two weeks time :) :)

These photos were taken when we still lived close to the beach, unfortunately it's now a half hour+ drive but I still try and make the trip back once a week to make sure my seaglass collection is thriving - plus I always feel happy being at the beach, soaking up the rays and breathing in that salty air :)

How cool is that Osprey! Every time I visited the beach I always lugged my telescopic lens (135mm) with in hopes of getting that particular shot - I was pretty stoked to have finally snapped it  :)

    1. you should Petra, it's funny when people travel and end up near beaches, my first thought is "I wonder what sea glass is there" :P

  3. That Osprey is mega cool. I was a bird of predator nerd as a kid, so your picks totally took me back.

    1. Ah yeah they're definitely not at every beach, I live around quite a few beaches but have only found them in one or two spots. My advice is to definitely look for areas that get lots of shells washing up, even if they are mostly broken shells! Also they're not super obvious the first times you look - keep your eye out for the brown pieces (they're the most common) and if you see any brown then, whites and greens and maybe blues aren't lurking too far away!

    1. We found five caches in total that day :) I don't think Jake took any trinkets home this time - most of the fun is definitely in hunting the locations down, some can be really tricky so you want to do a little happy dance when you eventually find them!
