Baby Goanna

We live in an area that's semi rural and thus critter a-plenty but the other day was especially awesome because we got to rescue a BABY GOANNA! Goannas get huge and to be honest, kind of more on the scary side than the cute but this dude was just perfect :)

We also have some frangipani's in bloom at the moment in our yard which is super pretty :)

On the left is a view of our backyard, we live in a share house of sorts, so technically not our background but just part of the property :)

And lastly a photo of the little dude running down Ben's leg as we put him somewhere a little less cat friendly :)

Floral Friday: New Bloom

I'm excited to take part in Floral Friday, a monthly project started by the lovely Trishie from Under Lock and Key

The very first Floral Friday is all about new beginnings - a new bloom. Here in Australia we're in full summer mode and the lovely Frangipanis are uncurling their buds to release their pretty scent and happy blooms :) We currently have a tree outside our house and I remember having a tree at the house I grew up in with lots of lovely memories associated with it. Summer makes me happy and the New Year with all it's possibilities and new beginnings makes me super excited :)

Want to take part in Floral Friday yourself?
Floral Fridays is a monthly photography project with different themes each month. This series is about fun and taking time out to smell the flowers. To play along, please email Trishie (trishie@underlockandkeyblog.com) for next month's theme Make sure you check out the other bloggers involved below too!
