Snail Mail /10

So this utterly amazing parcel appeared in my mailbox the other week. It had traveled all the way from Spain, sent from the lovely Damaris who blogs at The Cat you and Us! You already know that she is one of my favourite blog gals and I'm sure we would be ultra friends in real life too :) Her parcel was so so special and everything in it made me do huge big smiles!!!

When you first find a Gachapon capsule, pastel pink and twine you know things are going to be wonderful :)

I made sure (before diving in) to appreciate all the pretty tape she had used on all the little parcels!

Wowsers! Blown away + cheeks hurting from smiling so much! I have to mention that adorable cat purse because I don't think I got a good close up photo of it. Damaris was also very smart to include the little info card inside to know it's by Kishboo! They make such pretty bags and jewellery!

Check out that adorable Christmas card, I can't imagine a card more perfect and yup it definitely matches our pink tree! On a side note we thought we might have issues this year with Peachy and the tree but she was happy just to munch on the bottom non-breakable ornaments :) OH OH and Japnese kit Kat!!!!

On an extra side note, it's been a really intense last week with Peachy suffering a brown snake bite.  Peachy is a warrior princess though and despite being still really sick, I have lots of faith in her full recovery :)  I might blog a bit more about it all but she's still in the thick of it so it's nice for me at the moment to distract myself with super happy things like snail mail!!! 99% of the other time I'm giving Peachy gentle pats and telling her how pretty she is :) :)

How frighten cute is that patch and sticker by Pony People, Ben remarked afterwards that I pretty much have to make that planter now - eep, we'll see might be a big challenge!!

The Japanese candies were so perfect, we both got to travel to Japan last year (separately *sad face*) and Damaris and Dani are still blogging their awesome adventures of Japan over on their blog at the moment.  They take such amazing photos you definitely need to have a peep!

Ariel biscuit! oh my gosh, how cute is that and I can personally say the apple crackers were one of the best things I've eaten :)

And then an actual Ariel pin from their trip To Disney Sea! *gasp* it's now one of the most special things I own, it's glittery and pretty and the clasp on the back is shaped as Mickey! How cool is that! I wore it out the other day and was super worried about losing it but it seems to secure really well so I probably should get over that paranoia! Oh and the Gachapon had Sailor Uranus!! Eep, so so wonderful and I feel so lucky to have received everything inside :) :) So much thanks, special lady!

Snail Mail /9

This parcel was a super lovely surprise and completely shocked me with its crazy contents - big super thanks to Thimble Cat aka Emily :)

You had me at yellow (tissue paper!)

Oh my goodness, pulling everything out was one part exciting, one part overwhelming - is this all for me??? eep!

And the confetti everywhere, just killed me :) (in a good way of course!)

LOOK!!! He he he

I have to say the most special thing was this Big Things planter. I'm pretty obsessed with big things - I have my own blog and facebook page where I document them, so seeing this planter made me so so happy! I only found out that Emily is making other amazing ceramics, with her company Pot Luck Ceramics - eep, isn't that the cutest name - go check them out on insta!

She even stamped my name on the bottom - dies!

On one side is the big pineapple and on the other is the big banana! Such a treasured gift for me!

The mail didn't stop there - check out all these amazing vintage paper goodies

Can you see the photo of those two little girls - I've always wanted a vintage photo but I've never ever seen them whilst thrifting, so I feel very lucky to own one now - their facial expressions are perfect!

Everything was so beautiful - some awesome lettering too!

And holy moly a big pineapple postcard! That's going straight to the pool room (aussie film gag!)

The cutest vintage Christmas deer, pom poms and super cute erasers!

Some perfect Australiana too - gasp!!

And oh my goodness a totoro photo frame - how incredible is that?!!

And ending with this extra wonderful strawberry pom pom Emily made. I've always been fascinated at those fruit Pom Pom tutorials on Pinterest and now I have my very own :) :)

Yup, told you it was a beyond amazing parcel!
Thank-you so much Emily

Emily blogs at thimble cat but you guys should definitely follow her pot luck ceramics on instagram

Haiku Happy You

I was thinking this year I could achieve 12 projects, one a month that's not that hard. Ah yup it is! Despite knowing I'll never make the 12 in 2015, it has pushed me to carry through with ideas and not just let them be ideas. One of those ideas was a Haiku Generator where people had the option to mail one to someone they liked. I don't know if this is a silly idea or not but honestly it was super fun coming up with haikus and I still find them randomly popping into my head!

You can check out the site over here and let me know if it's silly or not :)

Snail mail /7

As promised a peak at some awesome mail I received from Emily aka Thimble. You can see previous awesome mails from her, here and here with this parcel below being no exception to the awesomeness (be prepared for a lot of exclamation marks!)

First up some hella cute packaging!!

Emily makes confetti out of tissue paper which is an idea I'm definitely going to have copy at some stage!

And all the goodies!

Check out these insanely happy + kitschy vintage postcards - I have serious kitten regret I didn't get Gremlin into some of these scenarios when he was teeny tiny.

Ben probably thought I was a bit of a weirdo when I raced into his room all hyper and excited to show him my awesome stash including this Melbourne street art book.

I'm heading to Melbourne in May too for a holiday, staying with my awesome friend Emaya. Actually do you remember that was her Birthday present for me last year - plane tickets that I'm only now just cashing in - slacko!

The book is super awesome and features Ghost Patrol (above) as well as a bunch of other street artists - definitely gets me excited to visit Melbourne.

Then there was this super sweet totoro banner, I think I'm going to buy some wooden dowels to hang it up, I already have a snow cone banner I bought in Japan and I think the two will look really sweet together :)

Can I just say that everything was incredible sweet and of course I had the biggest smile on my face opening it all up!

I'm such a fan of Emily's blog too, it definitely comes with a Fee two thumbs up recommendation -
take a peek here.

And a visual delight to open with all the little butterflies falling theatrically over my lap!

You should definitely check out Sarah's blog, she is one of the cutest Canadians around and her blog represent her awesome taste and cute spirit :)

Snail mail /4

Today's mail comes from the lovely Sara who blogs her amazing film photos over at,

Travelling all the way from Portugal the letter was filled with super amazing paper goodies.

After having Australia Post disappearred the first letter she sent  (I have a long standing anguish for our postal service!). I feel super appreciative she stuck it out and sent me another - thanks Sara!

Pineapple! I think the universe is telling me to focus on pineapples :)

In preparing a return letter, I've definitely become more aware of paper goods and the prettiness they hold.

Getting this letter makes me feel fortunate for crossing paths with some lovely peeps in the blogging universe :)
