Day 7 - Oatlands

Apparently Oatlands was featured on Masterchef a while back, I only found this out reading an article in the Mill's gift shop, luckily for us this one street, sleepy town wasn't over come with tourists and we had a lovely little stroll around. The town, dare I say, even had better topiary than the self proclaimed town of topiary, Railton (sorry Railton!). With the mill in the background and old buildings (typical of Tasmania) it really felt like we stepped back in time. If stopping by I'd recommend the Companion Bakery where we had a super yummy potato and leak soup served alongside their awesome sourdough, yum!

Day Four - Penguin

What can I say about Penguin but cute cute cute! It has an almost Sunshine Coast vibe but much more sleepy and quaint. It's home to the giant penguin, penguin trash bins and two adorable men working in an op shop that we had the most pleasant conversation with. We also met cats and ducks and had a scrumptious brekkie at The Groovy Penguin, what more can you ask for?
