The Ekka 2012

How long ago was the Ekka? Too long ago! But hey better late than never :) The Ekka for those not in the Queensland loop stands for exhibition and comes along once a year, really just a big fair with rides and show bags and animals and bad food, it's the best! Ben made me go on all the haunted houses with him which I resented him for..hate being scared! Luckily he accompanies me for all the cute things I want to do, I think it works out in the end :p

Day 7 - Campbell Town

Campbell town is known for its historical red bridge (I think) we got there just as the sun was setting and used the remaining light feeding some ducks and utilising their free campground. The ducks were utterly scary, well the big guy anyway, you can probably pick him out from the pics below. A random lovely boy gave me a bag full of bread at the same time Ben had left, to get more bread from our van. Me alone with food and aggressive ducks isn't good. Ben took over the bread feeding when he returned to my cries of help and I learnt that perhaps the ducks weren't really that aggressive after all, they were actually super cute :)

We left Campbell town just as the sun rose for our final full day of excitement!!!

Day Four - Penguin

What can I say about Penguin but cute cute cute! It has an almost Sunshine Coast vibe but much more sleepy and quaint. It's home to the giant penguin, penguin trash bins and two adorable men working in an op shop that we had the most pleasant conversation with. We also met cats and ducks and had a scrumptious brekkie at The Groovy Penguin, what more can you ask for?
