Floating Land

Floating Land is a green art festival that happens once every two years at Lake Cootharaba, Boreen Point (about half an hour drive north of Noosa, QLD). I'd never been until this year, so it was a delight to check out. I won't go into the details of each artwork (there's lots of info on the floating land website) instead I'll just post my favourite photos I took (note: if you click on any photo if will take you to my flickr page where you'll find the corresponding artwork name and artist)

(This one was really neat, I'm not sure of you can tell but they're twig chairs in the water)

(My fav giant sculptural shells!)

The festival is on till the 9th of June. I'm going to trek back one more time before it ends as some of the artworks get a light projection at night which sounds intriguing :) there is also music and workshops for those keen!
