Noosa and Mutton Birds

Today might be my final entry involving the mutton birds. I'm going to keep this post on the image side but if you want to, you can read about the birds here and here

For now it's time to flood you guys with pictures of Noosa national Park, a fav spot of mine that you're possibly, sick of me posting about :P I was definitely curious to go back to check in on the state of the bird bones and to my surprise a year+ later they're still decomposing. The park is not just about the bones though, we found cute banksia pods (like the guy below), cicada shells, a heart shaped rock (my favourite!) a beach ball made of twigs and some pretty cactus - which shocked me because it's not something I see much of in the wild!

On to the pictures!

  1. There are some really amazing photos here. I like the first one of the pods. My favourite part of that entire park is the heathland up the top, even though it's the most exposed. I can't believe I never spotted the bird bones before! Crazy.

    1. It's pretty amazing landscape and even though it's quite touristy it still feels relatively untouched which is nice :)

    1. I was using vsco but to be honest my presets in LR are so hodge podge by now, I tend to make a new preset every time I have a new batch of photos and then they get changed over and over. I'm sure somewhere down the line there are some original vsco tweeks lurking in these photos :) I think I get bored easily and can't stick to any one preset :P

    1. Funny you should say that about the Banksia pods, we have a famous book series in Australia called Snugglepot and Cuddlepie and the "bad guys" are banksia men!

    1. The whole area is definitely super pretty :) I'm glad they have kept it relatively untouched, it definitely makes Noosa :)

  7. Aww, how good it feels to see your shiny summery pictures, and looove the bright green cactus :) I think I have a bad case of winter blues that started yesterday, but your pictures make me dream about our super wishlisted travel to your beautiful country.

    1. I had a dream the other night that you visited or I visited you or we met up somewhere - extreme dream vageuness and I was super sad because it was only for 48 hours and I have nothing fun planned, for you guys - oops! I'm not sure what the dream was trying to tell me, I do have a bad case of over planning things but the dream was definitely hinting at me, that it's good to plan :) lol
