My time with Zadie

Although my time with Zadie is already blogged about here I thought it would be fun to throw up some photos here too :) The best part of all this is you guys can take part too! You just need to email the lovely Adeline who created the traveling doll project and she can let you know if there are any spaces available :)

There are a couple of fun things to do with Zadie but mostly it's just showing her around your hood :)
So that's what I did!

My new hood, Woombye is all about those pineapples so there are a few pineapple pics scattered about!

Of course they had to meet :)

Pineapples!!

Want to know more about the project? Adeline has set up a blog and facebook page for you to find out more!

    1. Although we've only been here a few months now I really love Woombye, I also love Nambour too and will happily defend the place whenever someone gives it a bad rap! :)

  5. Such a great idea! ;) And I love her name. Reminds me of Zadie Smith. Her book White Teeth was one of my favorite reads.

    1. I'm still left wondering how to pronounce her name, shamefully! I kept calling her Zadie (like Madie with a Z) and Ben kept saying Zay-dee. I blame my addiction to Dance Moms for my probably incorrect pronunciation!

    2. Say I totally say Zay-dee! Only because the lady at the bookstore pronounced it that way! :D

    3. I think that's totally the correct way, we have this Aussie song called "sadie the cleaning lady"
say-dee, rhyming with lady (all signs pointing to me saying Zadie wrong I think!) lol

    1. It never wears thin although I'm always a little concerned for the big pineapple. The new owners went hard and strong with the revamp but I feel it's back to being quite a forgotten place, there are the farmers market every weekend and they did have a music festival and they've set up a small farm but it still seems so dead!

  8. Wow a giant pineapple, I'm an instant Woombye fan! :) Have you been investigating your new neighborhood? It seems a neat place, maybe you can share with us more details once you're more settled? Love how you have played both with colors and locations with Zadie, she seems a fun companion ;) & your pics are so good Fee, bright, fun and clever.

    1. Thank-you for your always kind words! Where we live now was close to where I used to live and I actually go back into that other town for my shopping - I know the area quite but there are still new surprises and I need to share more for sure! It's a really sweet area and I don't think it gets quite the appreciation that it deserves!
