Thrifty Sunday /12

Another round of Thrifty Sunday!

First up a cute beaded necklace that I've been rockin' a lot lately

A cheap rubix cube to try and practice on :) My little bro can solve these with his eyes closed (well almost!) and he's been trying to teach me.   Truth be told, I'm not as switched on as him but it's definitely a new goal of mine to be able to solve at least one.

Also a cute Zelf! I love that they're pretty much the modern day troll doll, this particular guy is called Mermalade!

Nail art book! Okay I'm pretty hopeless with my nails but I really love this book, I love the layout, photos and cute illustrations and hopefully it will inspire me to up my nail art game!

And lucky last a cute plastic Anthurium brooch.
I was happy to see a "western Germany" on the back - a nice nod to Grandma :) :)

  1. That necklace is very pretty. And I'm also pretty hopeless at nail art, despite doing my nails nearly every week without fail. I did manage to do penguin nails once, which turned out pretty good, but that's about it.

  4. What incredible thrift store finds! I really miss going through the thrift stores from the states now that I live over here in Germany. We do have a lot of vintagey stores but the prices are a lot higher and it's usually just fashion. We do have awesome weekend flea markets though!

  5. I should definitely buy a nail art book, because I'm also in need of practice and guidance :) My cousin is very much into rubick's cube, he has a pretty collection of weird ones, and also they remind me of my college room mates, they were studying Physics and one of the subjects had a rubick's solving test, they were all the time practicing at my side, but unluckily I didn't pay enough attention and I am not able to solve it now ;)

    1. I feel solving a rubix cube puts you into a definitely cool box, hence why I want to learn :P My little bro has been wanting weird ones too, ones with lots of sides *gasp* !!! That's fun about the subject involving rubix cubes, it's definitely formula based so I can see how it would fit into physics :)

  6. I LOVE Zelfs. I have so many. They are meant to be the modern Troll Doll. They can't use the word troll anymore due to what it means (online) so they made Zelfs. :)

    1. Oh wow, I didn't know that! Sad troll has become an uncool world, but hey Zelfs is a fine replacement :) I always look at them when I'm at the shops, I'll totally admit the toy aisle is still pretty exciting for me!
