Pentax 6x7 Portra 400

Yesterday I showed you the results of running fuji velvia slide film through my asahi 6x7 camera and today I'm sharing a roll of Portra 400. I changed the ISO in camera to 200 for this roll and then had it processed as normal + scanned using my DSLR method :) I also should say, I accidentally opened the back before the film was completed wound upon the spool, you can really notice it in the peachy shot because that was the last frame of the roll and thus the one that got hit the hardest with light. The funny thing about film is the mess ups are one of my favourite things and that peachy shot maybe my favourite from the roll!

Emaya might kill me for posting this but I still think it's a nice photo! I guess a win for digital photography, where you can just check the back of the camera for eye blinks and then take a bunch more shots without batting an eyelid :P

light leaks for the win!

I've still got a lot more learning/playing around with the Asahi to do + getting comfortable changing film rolls but I'm really excited to own this bad boy and for all the photos to come :)

    1. Such a fan of light leaks, though I don't think I would have the courage to intentionally open the back!

  3. The light leaks make it so soft and magical, love it! The lens bokeh is so nice! it really shows in Emaya's pic where you have a perfect focus on her :)

    1. so true! Would be fun to try out different lenses and see their results (minus investing in them!) :P
