Clay /13

The other month we finally fired up our kiln, it requires a special power source which Ben had an electrician instal when we first moved in.  Despite great intentions of getting back into clay asap, so many other things found priority within our first year of being homeowners.  Luckily, clay presents were on the agenda for our Mum's birthday presents so we re-arranged our shed to make a workable kiln space :)  I've already shared two things I made in our first firing, below are some of the other pieces.

Current obsession include making pots (and homes) for my indoor plants!

clay handbuilt pot

terracotta hand made planter pot

air plant clay holder

glazed and fired planter pot

handbuilt ceramic air plant holder

firestick cactus in ceramic pot

I'm very very slow at clay and love to have breaks from it - otherwise, it kills the joys but, hopefully, my clay posts will become a regular segment on the blog again :)

Oh, and the above are all handbuilt until we find the space (and courage!) to get back into wheel throwing :P
