Superheadz Pink Dress Toy Camera with Fuji Film

I wanted to pop in and show you the results I got with Fuji film and the pink dress toy camera. To be honest I don't see much difference with the films in toy cameras. I feel the toy cameras just do what they want and you're at mercy to their results :p

These were taken at the ekka in 2011, I love the results - that awesome saturation of the superheadz!

That ends my toy camera reviews, for now anyway :)

Pink Dress - Kodak 400

I get to reminiscence with you guys back to the glory days of the Pink Superheadz which I affectionately referred to as the Pink Dress camera (actually it had those exact words printed on it :p)

I used Kodak 400 back in the day to because that's what my local shopping centre stocked :)

I also used to scan in the actual prints before I realised my printer could actually scan film - that was a fun discovery! I've come a long way :p Looking back at these photos makes me happy and I guess that's why I love photography it can capture feelings and emotions and it's fun to get to relive them. I remember being so excited about my pink dress camera, so excited of the possibilities ahead. I still feel that way I still feel like I have so much to learn and discover and that's exciting!

Holga 135bc vs Pink Dress

So I lost my lovely pink dress toy camera whilst up north and replaced it with a Holga 135bc, the BC bit just means it creates vignetting aka dark edges which I thought would be fun :) I own another Holga but it doesn't take normal 35mm film, so getting the 135bc meant it's now easy to buy and develop film, which is nice!
I got my roll back the other day from the Holga and just from that one roll I think the pink dress, toy camera has the egde. The pink dress always produced really cool saturated mages which lacks sometimes in the Holga. The Holga has more features but if I loose the Holga I'll replace it with the pink dress camera again :)
I always think that toy cameras don't really need features, keep it simple stupid! Still, the Holga is fun and I want to try and play with double exposures more, which is when you take a picture and before advancing the film you snap another photo over the top, like the one below...

Ben and me!

And just for fun some instant pics Mami took of us :)

More toy camera shots

Just popping in to share some more of my toy camera shots!
I'm glad I live in Queensland where we do have a lot of sunny bright days which is what this camera craves for good photos :)

Flowers down at the local plaza

servo sign

My families local church.
I recently went back cause the small congregation was worried they were going to get shut down by the big bosses, not god, but someone slightly under him. Anyway they needed number for the meeting, so I filled a chair :)  It seemed like a scene straight out of the Aussie film The Castle, I enjoyed it.
