Xmas gifts

Christmas present time! I got some amazing gifts this year :) :)

The cutest reindeer tote and an amazing giant pretzel from my cousin and family which got put to good use over Christmas - photos to come!

They also gifted me with lots of other amazing goodies above and below, how good is the beetle juice lunchbox!

And lots of kawaii awesomeness!!!

Talking of cute, Ben got me some glitter nail polish which is still hanging on tight, to my nails :) There was also a lovely poem inside that card which will take part in a secret project I'm working on - I promise to share when it's done!

My brothers gf, Carmen got me this beautiful candle and my mum gifted me with this amazing bakery man and yup whose eyes move with him!!

Mum also got me a lovely book and some cute cat pouches and incense :)

My dad and brothers got me money, gift cards and a guns and roses concert ticket for feb this year :)

And Ben's mum got me a bonsai pot and seahorse necklace - super cute :)

Definitely totally spoilt!!!

Merry Christmas!

For the past couple of years Ben and I have been doing a tacky Christmas photo which I then update my facebook profile with :) This year I had the idea of dressing up as presents and using our town's tree as a gigantic prop to put us into perspective! 

It's currently Christmas day here in Australia and I hope there is a little magic in the air for everyone. I also hope the day affords some time to reflect on the year (the good and the bad) and hopefully end up with some remaining gratitude :) I can't finish without also saying, a big thank-you to everyone for reading my blog, a big smile from the bottom of my heart is being sent your way! xoxoxo

An Extra Christmas Surprise!

I'm so excited to share an (extra!) Christmas surprise that arrived in the mail. Australia Post is notorious for being super slack and not delivering on time, so I wasn't surprised this came post Christmas but it turned out to be amazing timing anyway (I'll explain in a second!)

Spotty envelope love!

I got super excited to see Gremlin got his very own letter from Juno! How super sweet is that!!

I may of harassed him lots with it :)

He he he!

But he came around :) Or perhaps he is giving me those suspicious "are you using me again for a blog post?" eyes!

Inside the package was a card for Ben and I, a card for Gremlin and a tree ornament which is so super sweet and super fee amazing appropriate!!!

So much love!

The Merry Catmas card for Gremlin had a reference to the Three Kings Holidays which happens on the 6th of January in Spain. The card was super sweet and inside was written that Juno had the super smarts to send this card just in case the parcel didn't arrive in time for Christmas but could still arrive in time for the Three Kings and guess what...it arrived one day beforehand!! Amazing timing!

Even though I've taken all my Christmas decorations down, I've making sure that these guys get to hang around for an extra month longer!

Christmas Present Haul

So so lucky again this year!

A big collection of goodies from my family, my mum has good taste :)

Including this handsome cat pillow

And a close up of some of the charms, a cute cat tree ornament that I've already added gremlins photo too :) a very pretty bracelet and a super sweet deer brooch :)

Ben's mum got me a notebook and earrings and I scored a gift card and cash off the brothers :)

And my littliest bro J drew me the best picture in the world, a maneki!!! He even added the words lucky cat in Japanese :)

Ben got me some cute page markers, a my little pony keychain and some star lollies which I ate in one sitting and made myself incredible sick on - oops! (they were awesome though!)

My cousin heather is one of the most thoughtful gifters I know and she definitely always wins at Christmas!!

I died opening everyone one of her gifts - I've definitely been wanting forever that Sanrio scarf from Yummy You!!

My tree is also 100% cooler now it has it's very own unicorn ornament - how amazing is that! Love the hair clip and pretzel necklace too - perfection!!

Ben made it back in time for our Annual Christmas Photo - woohoo. *cheers* to getting to spend some time on Earth and making mad connections with people and smiling and dancing and embracing all the oddities and awesome-ness!

Gremlin was meant to feature in this photo but he's out playing so you'll have to wait till I share my last Polaroid/Instax challenge with you guys for some Gremlin Cuteness :)

Christmas Present haul

2014 was another year of receiving such an amazing bunch of awesome presents - so spoilt (I have the nicest family and boyfriend!) Today I get to share my haul, including all those presents above from my beautiful cousin heather and her family. I do this thing with blind boxes where I pick which figurine I'd love to get and which would be my worst pick and this year I got all my favs!!! Skeleton Hello Kitty and Dr. Finkelstein from Nightmare Before Christmas!! I also got a awesome Sailor Moon keychain (eep!) and some bubblegum-licious scatch and sniff stickers :)

They also got me this red riding hood themed tea set. Isn't she the cutest with her little basket that holds your tea bags!!

My family, although I'm sure Mum was behind all the awesome choosing, got me a bunch of radness including the latest Katy Perry perfume. I have the original bottle but this set came in cute roll on tubes, which are now scattered all over the joint in case I need emergency perfume (the scent is super pretty too for those wondering and the bag is glittery amazing-ness). Hello kitty appears again and this time I get to brush my teeth with her :) I also got some pastel sticks designed to work directly onto fabric and a cat book which I fear my leave me crying my eyes out #pleasehaveahappyending

I also got this super pretty and colourful beach towel and this super hero cat. Mum was a bit worried I had outgrown my plush phase but to be honest I'm still a kid at heart :) I love her, she's kick arse!

And last but not least a vintage musical Christmas bell. Mum had the same version growing up and as someone who is super sentimental I appreciate that I've got my own version now :) The box was stellar and vintagey too!

(just pull the plastic acorn to get the music happening!)

Lucky last is my stash from Ben, he got me cute figurines and the comic Topo in hopes I'll become a comic book nerd like himself :)

I also got to add to my jibibuts collection which Ben started me off on last year. I really wanted the noferin, puppy design and I got it - hurrah!

My super awesome main present from Ben was this amazing Mr Clement limited edition bunny, with a cute red scarf you can model to make it look like it's blowing in the wind (un-shockingly also the name of the design!)

His head comes off to reveal a skull underneath - such perfection and fits in with my love of all things creepy but cute :)

Unfortunately I'm a super weirdo and things made out of velvet (just to even look at) send shivers down my spine. Ben knows of my weird ways but he didn't know, flocked = super extreme velvet. So now awesome mister bunny lives in Ben's room. I'm such a bad girlfriend but I can appreciate from afar!

Merry Christmas you guys, thanks for reading my blog and having rad blogs yourselves, it's been a fun blog year for me :) I want to do a year in review post which I selfishly like doing for myself more than anything. I think that's one of the awesome things about blogging it provides a space for memory collecting/storing :)

Thrifty Sunday /6

Being the last Sunday before Christmas (woozers!) I wanted to make it as Christmas themed as possible.  The op shops have been awesome of late and even though I'll always want more Christmas goodies, I'm happy with the few things I did pick up :)

Not sure if he's vintage or not but this santa head ornament is super rad anyway :)

Our pink tree!!!

After owning my wallet for quite possibly a decade (thanks Emaya!!) the dots of mould made me realise it was time to part ways - a sad day but this cute wallet made things easier :)

A maneki money box for my cat collection which is coming along nicely :)

And possibly my fav find below a plastic glitter nativity scene :)

The box was pretty stellar itself!

I (not so secretly) love everything about it :)

This last image below is sort of cheating but I wanted to show you my other pink tree which I thrifted last year, it's tiny and cute and makes my room that much happier :)
