Yogurt World - Mooloolaba

It's hard to miss with it's huge penguin logo and inviting bright colours! I'll admit I tried to pulls Ben's arm into the direction of Baskins but I'm glad we detoured into Yogurt World.

The concept it pretty simpler you grab a cup, fill it with yoghurt and add in your toppings. You then go to the counter pop your cup on the scales and you pay $3.20 per 100 grams. I manage to settle on two flavours, lychee and chai, but really you could make a Frankenstein concoction if you wanted :) For toppings I went with strawberries and popping lychee balls, chocolate and nuts. They have a LOT of options, next time I won't play it so safe! The verdict, yummo! I was a bit worried this would taste super healthy but it tastes more sorbet than natural yoghurt if you catch my drift :p. The yogurt flavours weren't overwhelming either which for me was awesome. Ben got Milo which definitely tasted like milo but managed to somehow work as being yogurt...baffles me!

We will be back!!

  2. Interesting! I'm not a big yoghurt fan, but frozen yoghurt it delicious lol so is this more on the "enough yoghurt in it that we can still call it yoghurt but this unlike yoghurt doesn't taste like death" side of things? ;)
Your pics make it look very inviting! :) xx

  3. It's definitely more soft serve than yoghurt but then I went in thinking it was going to be greek yoghurt style, so i was pleasantly surprised :P I also think if you add enough sweet toppings than it's just a sweet fest! On a side note I actually like greek yogurt but the thought of milo flavoured greek yoghurt, weirded me out....off milk style :P

If you ever go perhaps try a really small portion :) I like the fact that you can get as much or as little as you like and can add in what ever toppings in whatever proportions!

  4. Aww, I wish Sydney had a colourful yoghurt place like this. We have a few yoghurt chains here but the interior is quite lifeless compared to this place.

  5. We normally have this habit of getting things last, I'm sure it's colourful-ness will spread :)

Has yoghurt become the new icecream/gelato?

  6. "Has yoghurt become the new icecream/gelato?"

I believe so, it's getting really popular. I'm not really a big fan of Yoghurt, but at least it's healthy?

  7. Be awesome if it was healthy, or at least healthier than icecream :) I wonder what the stats are? My sugar sense tells me, it's not overly healthy :P I'd like to be proved wrong though!

  9. After reading this blog we thought yoghurt world might just me worth a try. But like you said we where all expecting Milo flavored greek yoghurt which we all thought would be..... Interesting? But we where quite surprised in the colorful layout and the taste of the yoghurt. I have to say though, watermelon and pomegranate were definitely my 2 favorites
