Low Expectations Road Trip - Gayndah Lunch

So this is the final post, our last stop being at the Gayndah pub for lunch and heck it did not disappoint, neither did our long weekend holiday. Just goes to show you can have fun in your own backyard and well, it's always wise to have those low expectations :p

The burger I had from the pub was so good I devoured it within minutes and forgot to take a photo, oops.
I did however make sure to take a photo of that awesome love heart light!!
thanks for reading!!!

Low Expectations Road Trip - Gayndah Bridges

Okay I know what you're thinking, bridges, boring right? Or maybe that's just me but travelling with someone is all about compromising... a big thing for a train bridge, i'll live with that and you know what it was really fun, we got the bridge trail info, from inside the big orange and set off adventuring. Of course, we totally ended up in someone's orchard farm but you get that when main roads look awfully like people's driveways, ahh the country!

Low Expectations Road Trip - Gayndah

Gayndah was all about the big orange (a nod to the town's citrus crops) and grabbing an orange juice at the big orange. Unfortunately when I made my order, I was told they were too busy to make any orange juice that particular Saturday so milkshakes it was :p Gayndah was cool, we learnt about some train bridges, which we added to our itinerary and we played in an old school playground, where obviously the strict safety codes of Brisbane hadn't infiltrated yet, score! Gayndah also has a mascot who stands outside the big orange and he has the best name ever, Gay Dan from Gayndah! I love a town with a sense of humour plus having a hedge made in the letters of their town name, scores some fee points as well!
