Thrifty Sunday 27

I've recently started to get back into thrifting.  I'm posting my haul (or at least what I've remembered to take photos of!) 

Clothing seems to be the theme!

After "lending" my tap shoes to someone else, I finally picked up another pair!!

Definitely in love with the turban style shower cap.  I did buy the shhhowercap brand  but it ended up getting mouldy and the inner lining peeling - gross! Luckily I spotted the louvelle brand in my thrifting travels - excited to see if this one last a little longer!

Pink vans which have become my new morning walking shoes.

A Mayde turkish towel.  So keen to try this out and see if I can be convinced to join the thin towel lovers

New wedding shoes.  My feet have actually gone up a size in the last year or two (crazy!) so now I always look in the men's section :)

Thrifty Sunday /25

Thrifty Sunday time! The loot above was from a thrift store that had a fill-a-bag of stationary for $4.  I also snagged a bunch of inks (posted below) in the deal as well.  I felt like I had gotten huge value from those items alone that I kept the remainder (about 80%) of the bag empty. When I got to the counter the lady was super kind and ended up throwing in a book (I was going to buy) in as a bonus! It unfortunately turned out to be a sub-par read which I've now re-thrifted but at the time it was a delightful free bonus!

 Talking about books (and this time, a great one) Frankie Spaces!!! 
I now own two editions and I'm on the hunt to complete the collection :)

 Some new silver jellies which (being plastic and all) definitely don't fit my wish-list for the environment but my compromise is to only pick them up whilst thrifting.

 I was going to make myself a coaster for my daily chai but then I saw this cute mug and saucer set which solved the dilemma nicely :)

 I think this was 20 cents and then they were having a 50% off sale.  It's kind of crazy to get something for 10 cents, especially a cute gloomy bear keychain!

 Opera house badge, so much love for this one!

 Not strictly a thrift score but a market score. There's a guy at my local markets who sells used paints (70-90% full) and at great prices! win/win!

I've been following Fifi Lapin for years - so happy to have one of her books :)

My local op shops sells plants so I picked up a fire stick!

Our new place is missing lamp shades so I'm on the hunt for some cute ones!

Some hoops, which I got for a few dollars and on closer inspection turned out to be 18ct! Score! Also my ears approve!

Although just a cheapy from kmart for $1 I'll never say no to a pink pot!

Thrifty Sunday /23

Thrift Store Finds! Woohooo!

These are actually from weeks/months ago because honestly for one reason or another I haven't been able to go thrifting in sooo long, making me one sad panda! Hopefully I can start to rectify that soon.

More frankie magazines and I finally have a good use for the magazines after reading them - more to come on that!

Okay I did buy this guy forever ago! He's a fridge magnet and it rings!

A cute handmade ceramic bowl that now houses my garlic

Some instax stickers

Yellow beaded bracelets that I wear a lot! I definitely appreciate a good pop of yellow colour

I can't believe I'm not a handkerchief girl already, they seem to be the perfect eco solution to buying tissues!

Another blue and white plate for our collection!

Frankie magazine releases a book (I think once a year?!) called Spaces that features people's homes and it's amazing!

Its been a while but I've got a few thrifted finds to show you guys today!

A pen to practice my hand lettering

An awesome vintage mug that ticks all the right cheesy boxes for me!

An album, which I haven't decided what to fill with (just yet).

Too many Astro boy stickers

A book - perfect for my year of blooms project!

Although not technically thrifted, I did buy Hetty off gumtree (Aussie secondhand marketplace) from the sweetest old lady!!

As lame as this sounds, Hetty and her amazing pink cuteness is definitely one of my favourite thing I own! 

AND the bag on the left has become my camera/everyday use bag and it's such a great size.

Totally showing my age but this soundtrack had way too many memories not to pick up for $1 and listen to in my car (which is still living that cd life!)

An evil eye pendant, currently hanging in my room, on a piece of pink fluro chord :)

I always see this book referenced so now I can happily reference it myself :)

 Every morning I pick a new one to display in my room - it's a nice little ritual :)

Lucky last - whenever I see Frankie mags for a reasonable price I stock up :)
