Dubse Solo Show

Way back, last year (do we still remember 2015?) Ben and I went down to Brisbane to support his homie, Dubse who was having a solo exhibition.  Dubse is 1/4 of the SFP crew which Ben is also a part of and together with Phil and Shiroi combine to make a cute foursome :)

I'm excited to get back into blogging and share some photos that have been sitting on my hard drive for way too long!

Sushi, street art and scribble slam

Yesterday Ben and I took a trip down to Brisbane and caught up with the ever delightful Phil, who does wicked art, you might remember the ladybug artwork he drew for me when I broke my ankle! I scored an awesome new Viking artwork from him, which I'll have to remember to photograph, to show you guys. Anyway our evening started off with sushi train, continued on with street art, detoured to an art event called scribble slam and ended with a delicious slice of pizza (unfortunately not photographed!).

Brisbane might not hold the charm and coolness that some of the other states do but I think it has its own special magic :)

Australia Day at Loft

The lovely Kerrie, got me out of the house for Australia Day, she was set to make a stop motion of a live painting gig happening at a cool trendy bar called loft! Count me in :) It was super fun and a good way to spend a rainey Australia Day. The art was incredible and such lovely peeps. My only criticism being the stairs to get up to there but that's a very small complaint!

Can't wait to see Kerrie's stop motion, I unfortunately didn't get much of Benjamin's Emu but it was super fantastic, lots of texture and detail went into it and rad colours. I was luckily positioned right in front of Cezary's kangaroo, so my pictures are definitely Kangaroo biased due to my current lack of movement (damn ankle) :p I think I found a new favourite artist in Cezary Slulgis, his line making and texture is rad, something im definitely drawn to in art!
