Foods to eat when you get your wisdom teeth out

Two of my wisdoms were literally yanked out today, I've never had teeth extracted before and I have to say it's definitely a surreal experience, at one point I was convinced he was sewing my mouth together, but that was probably a result of me watching this horrific movie called the human centipede, yup don't think too closely about that one!

I got to keep my teeth too, hurrah! Sorry if this grosses out anyone, I'll make sure to remove the pictures if it does, I have a habit of thinking bloody things look cool!

I guess I'm still numb to the pain because I'm pretty painless apart from some throbbing action!

I was pretty excited to google ideas of what I could eat...
Pretty successful shopping trip! My dinner so far has consisted of cottage cheese, chocolate mousse and icecream, pretty good if I do say so myself, though I guess I'll  be over it in a few days.
I also picked up some miso soup, baby food, eggs for scrambled eggs (with sourcream!) malt and milk for milkshakes, v8 juice and spreadable tuna.

I gotta say I'm really excited about the baby food "creamy chicken with mango and veggie" gourmet!

Anyone have any other food suggestions?
I'm really paranoid I'm at the false sense of security stage and tomorrow at work I'm going to be in tears :P
EEK!

Friday Five

I'm so excited by these artists this week, woot!!

First up is ...MATTY8080
I've been following this dude for a good few years now and I just really dig his style, he produces lots of art and it's all really neat and plus he is just a really nice guy!

Second is a newie for me, Peter's Garden in his profile he talks about weirdness and playing and happiness from art which all come across in his works!!
This one is called "you're not a bear" awww!

Next up is someone who I've also been following for a while now Heidi Burton
I think she is such a super neat artist and her characters always make my heart melt!

Fourth artist this week is Nicole J Georges aka spinster summer
I hope I haven't already blogged about her but there is a good chance I already have because I really really love her drawing style, subject matter and general awesomeness!

Lucky last for this week is Naoshi who paints "by shiny color sand.. called "SUNAE" in Japanese."
How rad and  fantastic is her work!!
Amazingly pink and amazingly wonderful!

Disastrous Cooking

Today I was all excited to get my cook on and create a delicious breakfast and then I made this...

I honestly don't know what I was thinking, yoghurt on pancakes?
I guess I could of just scrapped it off but the pancake itself was mightly terrible!
I manage to not only wreck breakfast but spill my milk everywhere and make my coffee taste like something toxic :P
I hope other people have days like this!

Sometimes I'm just hopeless :P

Aussie World

On Sunday Ben and I used our free Aussie World certificates! Aussie World is well, not so World-like and more like a mildly amusing fun day out. Actually when thinking of an appropriate Aussie World catch phrase I came up with "meh"
Nah it really wasn't that bad, Ben and I had fun anyway, free fun, let's not forget that!!!

First up was the dodgem cars! There was this one poor girl who kept getting stuck in corners and causing traffic jams, there's always one!!

After dodgems we hoped on the ferris wheel, I think this actually turned out to be a highlight :P

After the ferris wheel was the flight simulator ride. The lady sitting next to us laughed the entire way through it, which I personally really appreciate :)

Then it was time for the rollercoaster. Which was 10% scary 90% fun

Then mini golf!! Who doesn't love mini golf?

I stand by my statement that theme parks love doing "run down" town rides and attractions for one reason...no maintenance!

Never actually went on the chair ride but it made for some nice photos :P

Ben got his arcade on and then we made the stupid decision to go on some nausea inducing ride, bad bad idea, we were pretty much routed after that even the carousel which I was keen to go on before, suddenly didn't look that great...

we made a quick get away but not before passing through their awesome gift shop...

Ben got a dingo mitten :)

help me!

Hey guys can you help me read the above autograph. It's by an artist I use to follow years ago but  now for the life of me, I can't remember his name. All I have to go on is that signature on the back of an artwork I got from him.

What do you reckon it says?

New Blog!

Since I'm a lover of the love I thought it would be fun to set up a new blog, just focusing on love  tales

So if you have a cute love story, there is a 10 question survey to fill out and some photos to submit and then I'll pop you up on the blog :)

It's looking a bit lonely at the moment with just Heather and I so I would love for more people!!

Diy Crystal Quartz Necklace

I've been meaning to buy myself a crystal quartz necklace, but got a bit shocked with the prices, so decided to just make my own!

I scored by picking up a bag of crystals from the National Geographic Shop for 5 bucks (originally $9). The packet had instructions to follow - I had to get rid of the original and possibly negative enegry already stored in the crystal by soaking it in salt water!

I also picked up some christmas baubles with their current 75% off christmas decorations, another score!

I simply popped off the top of the bauble (with some slight force) and glued it onto the crystal using araldite but superglue would work fine too!

Next I used some twine I had lying around

 and created a sliding knot

This knot is great because it means you don't need to buy a clasp!
(I got the instructions for my sliding knot from here)

Ta daaaaaaaaaaa! Now just as the instructions says I have to charge my crystal with positive energy from the full moon tonight :)

I like the idea of crystals, of carrying around a charm on your neck that brings positiveness to you! I think sometimes people get a bit hung up on the truth of things when truth really is just what you perceive it to be! So for now my crystal quartz necklace is bringing goodluck, positivity and love to my life...woot! he he he

I noticed the quality of photos submitted AND winning were not that high, so I thought I would try my luck submitting into my local paper. This cute lady rang me up to tell me I was the winner, gosh, so much fun to win things and now Ben is famous, well amongst the namborians and we're off to Aussie World!!! I'm also a magnificent photographer!

Shida Graff

We also spotted a Shida piece, well Ben did, near the Paul's Milk Factory!
Shida is a super rad Brisbane Street Artist!

GOMA

Last weekend, Shaz, Ben and I headed down to Brisbane to check out GOMA (Gallery of Modern Art) which I hope hasn't suffered since the flood hitting Brisbane!

Anyway it was rad and here are my favs!
Piece by Adel Abdessemed called "head on"

Plastic bag sculpture by Pascale Marthine Tayou, Ben hated this but my love of plastic, loved this!

Damien Hirst's "for the love of god laugh". Arghh awesome glitter!! *love*

Awesome glass mosiac panels by Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian

Yayoi Kusama "Narcissus garden". I hope that's right actually I hope I've got all the artists right. This seems like a kusama work, with her love of balls :P There was a room you could line up and check out too, which sounds very kusama-esque, unfortunately we ran out of time!

Elephany by Bharti Kher. I've seen this one before maybe one of the AAPT's. The elephant is covered in tiny sperm bindi

Aurukun "campdogs"

awesome peacock! Unfortunately I have no idea who created this which is sad because it was one of my favourite pieces!

over at the other gallery they were having a Scott Redford exhibition, we were on a time schedule so we zipped through here but I reckon another visit is in order!

Martin Creed’s Work No. 965 Half the air in a given space

This was one of the coolest installations, a room filled with purple balloons. I had to wait around half an hour to venture into this one, but it was lots of fun!
I have a video to upload as well of it!
